Another quick two weeks! Where the heck does
the time go? Romantic Times will be
announcing the voting results on their
website today, which means I can publically
thank you guys for moving me on to round 2!
Speaking of round 2, voting starts back up again today,
this time for Best Hero and Heroine. So, when you get
the chance, head on over, meet Anna and Dave, and vote.
The round ends the 25th, which just happens to be my
dad's birthday. Happy birthday, Daddy!
Our family got some fantastic news this week. My little
brother Jon proposed to his girlfriend. Toni, I couldn't
be happier to call you sister. Welcome to the family!
And just in case you missed it, the League of Reluctant
Adults interviewed us on their blog last weekend. Go
check it out to find out which cartoon characters we'd
pit against each other in a death match, whether or not
we write in a trance, and how much we'll pee ourselves if
we win. The League gives great interview!
We finalists are having a great time getting to know each
other. One of the very best things about this contest is
that it comes complete with 9 great friends. Keep your
eyes open for an announcement from all ten of us over the
next few days.
Whew! That's a lot of news!

Congrats to my good buds Rhonda and Cory on
the birth of their daughter Emily Rose! Love
and miss you guys!
Also, a belated congrats to Alethea Kontis on
the release of The Dark Hunter Companion! I'm
giving it to all of the Kenyon fans on my
holiday gift list. It organizes everything there is to
know about the Dark Hunter world, all in one sturdy,
beautifully made volume that'll stand up to repeated use.
Oh and don't forget to nominate your favorite romance of
2007 for Long and Short's Best Romance Book contest.
We'll take nominations until the end of the year. Voting
will take place in January.
And keep your eyes open for Title Magic! The other
American Title gals and I are launching our blog on
December 17. We'll be talking about writing, reading,
and a little pop culture Mondays through Thursdays, with
a guest blogger every Friday. Come on back here for
links and more information on the 17th!

Well guys, thanks to you, Voice of the Bard
made it to round 3! Thank you! It means a
lot that so many people have shown their
support for the project on nothing but faith.
So I've decided to take a leap of faith of my own, and
post the first chapter of the book right here so you all
can take a test drive if you want to. Or you can
download the PDF. I hope you enjoy it!
This is also launch day for our ATIV blog, Title Magic!
We have all sorts of things planned, so hop on over to
read Trish's inaugural post.
And don't forget to nominate your favorite romance for
Long and Short's Best Book award! We'll take
nominations through the end of the year, and voting will
start in January.
Hope everyone has a happy holiday!

Congrats to ATIV finalist Savanna on the
publication of Red Lioness Tamed! It's
patiently awaiting my attention on the 'ole
Palm. I LOVE the retro SF feel to the cover
art, too. Click on the picture to go check
it out!
Time's speeding by so fast! I think I blinked on New
Year's Eve, and here we are in March already! I'm
looking for luggage and a pair of elf ears for the
Romantic Times Convention in April. Morgan talked me
into it, so I'm making him go with me. (So, how do I
not have the best guy ever?) Several of us finalists
will be there, so if you're coming too, watch out for
us! We're going to have a fantastic time! And I'm
already drooling over the book fair. I'll have my
probable itinerary up with the next site update.
Speaking of the next site update, I'm planning on
making some changes around here! This place is still
pretty DIY, but I'm looking forward to mixing up the
colors a little bit. I'm working on a readers' corner
with book recommendations and "If you like" lists in a
variety of genres. There will also be a section for
fellow writers with archives of my Title Magic blog
series Reading For Writers and Abusing the TBR Pile.
I'm seriously looking forward to spring. We got a
little taste of it today, and now I have a hankering.
Here's to impending sunshine!
